Anthony, a five year old, excitedly points out another bionicle creation made by Richard Roth. The BrickUniverse Raleigh LEGO Fan Convention was held in Raleigh Convention Center on April 2nd and 3rd and drew hundreds of people to enjoy LEGO based shops, exhibitions, and activities.

Capturing the excitement in Anthony’s face is the main strength of this photo, and focusing on that wonder. Nick was able to shoot the picture at eye level of the subject, allowing the viewer to see through the subject’s point of view. Framing the picture through use of the surrounding convention attendees allows the pointing subject to lead the viewer’s eye across the picture.
