WKNC DJs for NAMI Walks

WKNC's Diego Cancel and Kairsten Fay at NAMIWalks 2014WKNC supported the National Alliance of Mental Health (NAMI) North Carolina by providing DJ services at their 10th annual NAMIWalks fundraising event. The 2-mile walk took place Saturday, May 3 at the Dorthea Dix Campus in Raleigh. DJs Kairsten Fay and Diego Cancel provided music. Their program "Arroz con Pollo" can be heard Saturdays from 5-6 p.m. on WKNC 88.1 FM and wknc.org/listen.

WKNC ends semester at Moogfest

This past weekend WKNC sent staff to Asheville to provide blog and social media coverage of Moogfest, a five-day festival dedicated to the synthesis of technology, art and music. Earlier this month WKNC broadcast live from Winston-Salem's PhuzzPhest and sent staff to the Shakori Hills GrassRoots Festival.

2014 Agromeck ready for pick up

2014 Agromeck Year in ReviewThe 2014 Agromeck Year in Review arrived on campus April 10 and is be available for pick-up beginning April 15. Distribution will be in Talley Student Union (on the second floor lobby near the information desk), D.H. Hill Library (at the top of the stairs in front of the circulation desk) and Hunt Library (on the first floor behind the yellow stairs near the elevator.)

WKNC hosts Fridays on the Lawn

Spring 2014 Fridays on the Lawn flierWKNC will conclude its spring 2014 "Fridays on the Lawn" concert series on Friday, April 11. Double Barrel Benefit 10 headliner J. Kutchma and the Five Fifths will perform with opening support from Raleigh band WOOL. The free event takes place from 5-7 p.m. on NCSU's Harris Field.
